Mercenaries
I think it would be nice to have three kinds of mercenaries. First would be kind of 'rabble' and would also fit some of the bandit armies. Next there would be just equivalences of the factions troops. And then some mercenaries coming from regions outside of the mod map. Here some:
Laigini
Warriors from Laigin (Leinster), with strong briton links so a mix of gaelic and british equipment, and roman imitated stuff.
Laigini Fianadi (lower rank troops) > Laigini Clairthairi (medium rank, some good armor, roman inspired helmets, longswords, large shields) > Laigini Curadha (same but butter, with some having two handed gaelic swords) or Laigini Rarigaguirran (mounted Laigini soldiers, with longswords and javelins).
Connaghta
Savage warriors from Connaght, including better slingers with falchions, two handed axes, and cavalry with axes... and warpaint!
Caithness Picts
Northern Picts, lèine clad or with little armor, but very savage fighters. Can go with 3 different class or something.
Dumnonians
A bit like the other Britons, but with a more "roman" look.
Dumnonian Aulue > Dumnonian Pedestyr > Dumnonian Campgur or Dumnonian Marca > Dumnonian Teulu
'Cumbrians'
Britons from later Wales, among them you can have Longspearmen, Longbowmen and/or better Helwyr, and medium cavalry possibily equiped with axes and some gaelic weaponry.
Saxons
Just as the name says... Saxons instead of Angles!
Scyldingas
Warriors coming from Daneland, upper ones beeing the only in the mod equiped with vendel helmets and so.
